The Euro dimensions
Euro perforated containers are a very common product in the industrial sector and are available in different sizes. The so-called "Euro dimension" is used, thanks to which standardisation is easily possible. The term "perforated" refers to the structure of the walls and possibly the floor. These allow perfect circulation of air due to the clever grid structure. This contrasts with the closed construction.
The decisive factor for perforated Euro containers is the Euro dimension, which was originally "invented" or established for the Euro pallet. Since the 1960s, standardisation within European freight transport has become increasingly important and a number of binding formats were agreed. In 1968, some railways signed the agreement on the creation of the Euro grid box, which was placed alongside the Euro pallet. In the meantime, the standardised transport containers exist in various sizes and serve many different purposes.
Practically, the Euro dimension is broken in a Euro container, mainly because of the standardisation, which ensures perfect stacking and storage as well as smooth transport. The smallest standard format is 300 x 200 millimetres, but the 400 x 300 millimetre and 600 x 400 millimetre formats are particularly common and can be found everywhere. The highest standard is 800 x 600 millimetres.
WERIT's perforated Euro containers
Highest quality for the food industry
The advantages of a perforated Euro container are both the standard size and the practical pull-through handles, which make transport easier. The containers are made of 100 percent reusable plastic that is guaranteed food-safe. Resistance to cold and heat is guaranteed as well as insensitivity to acids and alkalis. Another plus point is that this product is ideal for cleaning and is food-safe. However, this applies to all our products, from EurobeEuro containers with lids to Euro crates and ESD containers.
Areas of application are primarily the food industry, but also the retail trade and meat processing. There are also other applications in the trade and general industrial sector.
We expressly draw your attention to the wide range of accessories for the perforated Euro containers. If you wish, you can order the stackable crates not only in different heights, but also with support lids or hinged lids. The range also includes matching slip-on lids. Label holders are offered for perfect allocation and transport is facilitated by trolleys with TÜV/GS seal, which fit the formats of the Euro containers, e.g. E1 crates, one to one.
